Accessibility Statement
Begin Group Ltd wants as many people as possible to be able to use this website. We have built it to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA, which is the recognised international standard.
What that means in practice
You should be able to navigate the whole site using a keyboard, use it with a screen reader, zoom in to 400 per cent without content being lost, and read the text at the contrast levels the standard requires. Every page opens with a “Skip to main content” link as the first thing you reach by keyboard, every image carries a description, and every form field has a real, visible label.
This site uses a lot of movement. If your device or browser is set to reduce motion, the site respects that setting and the animations do not play.
Display options
Every page carries a Display options control, in the bottom corner and again in the footer. It lets you make the text larger, open up the spacing between lines and letters, raise the contrast, underline every link, and turn off the animations. Your choice is remembered on the device you are using, and Reset all clears it at any time.
It is worth being clear about what this is and what it is not. It changes how this site looks in your browser and nothing more. It is not an accessibility overlay, it does not alter the page for screen readers, and it is not the reason we say this site meets the standard. The site is built to meet the standard on its own, and the checks further down are how we know. If the site only worked once you had turned something on here, it would not be accessible.
Your browser and your device also have their own accessibility settings. Those apply to every website rather than just this one, so they will usually do more than the options here, and we have built the site to work correctly with them.
Known issues
These are the things we know are not right yet. We would rather list them than claim the site is perfect.
- We have not yet tested with a screen reader. The site is built from ordinary HTML elements rather than custom widgets, and our automated and keyboard checks are clean, but a listening test by a person is a different thing and we have not done it yet. It is scheduled before the end of September 2026.
- The heading levels on our pricing page skip a level. The page has a main heading and then jumps to the level used in the footer, with nothing in between. It does not stop you reading or using the page, but it makes the structure harder to follow if you navigate by headings. We are fixing it with the next round of work on that page.
If you find something that is not on this list, please tell us. It is the fastest way for us to find out.
If you need information in a different format
If you need anything on this site in a different format, such as large print, plain text, or read out to you over the phone, contact us at info@begin.co.uk or on 01342 775530 and we will provide it. Tell us the format you need and we will do our best to get it to you within five working days.
Telling us about a problem
If you find something on this website that you cannot use, please email info@begin.co.uk or call 01342 775530. Tell us the page you were on and what happened, and we will look into it and come back to you within two working days, even if the fix itself takes longer.
If you need the information you were after straight away, say so and we will give it to you another way, by phone or by email, while we deal with the underlying problem.
How we tested this site
This site was last tested on 16 August 2026 by Begin Group Ltd. Testing covered twelve page templates: the home page, a service page, contact, about, pricing, the FAQ, our work, reviews, the insights listing, and the privacy, cookie and terms pages. The cookie banner was open during the tests, because it is the first thing every visitor meets and it sits over the content.
What we ran:
- An automated accessibility scan of every template, against WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 at levels A and AA. It reports no failures.
- Keyboard checks, including that the skip link works, that focus is always visible, and that focus is not hidden behind the header or the cookie banner.
- A reflow check at a 320 pixel wide window, which is the same as zooming to 400 per cent. Nothing is lost and nothing scrolls sideways.
- Contrast checks on text and interface components, including text placed over photography.
That testing found four problems, and all four were fixed the same day: two headings in the FAQ section were empty to a screen reader because of how the animated text was built, the site had no “Skip to main content” link, the main content area was not marked up as such for assistive technology, and the footer headings skipped a level. What we have not done yet is in Known issues above.
Enforcement
The Equality Act 2010 requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people are not put at a substantial disadvantage. If you contact us about an accessibility problem and you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service, which is the body that advises on the Act.
