Data Complaints Procedure
Begin Group Ltd takes the protection of your personal data seriously. If you are unhappy with how we have collected, used or looked after your personal data, you have the right to complain, and we want the chance to put it right. This page explains how to raise a data protection complaint with us, what happens next, and how to escalate if you are not satisfied.
1. How to make a complaint
Please contact us directly, marking your message “Data complaint” so we can prioritise it:
Begin Group Ltd
Email: info@begin.co.uk
Post: Fairstead, Borers Arms Road, Copthorne, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 3LJ
Phone: 01342 775530
To help us deal with your complaint quickly, please tell us:
- your name and how to contact you;
- what your complaint is about, with any relevant dates and details;
- what you would like us to do to put it right.
2. How we will handle your complaint
- Acknowledgement. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days of receiving it.
- Investigation. We will look into what happened, review the personal data and processing involved, and contact you if we need more information.
- Response. We will respond with the outcome and any action we are taking without undue delay, and in any event within one month of receiving your complaint, which is the same period the law gives us for a data-rights request. If we need longer because the complaint is complex, we will tell you within that month, explain why, and give you a date.
3. If you are not satisfied
If you are unhappy with our response, please come back to us so we can try to resolve it. Ask for your complaint to be escalated to Luca Lopalco, Director, who is responsible for data protection at Begin and will review it personally. You also have the right to complain to the UK’s data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), at any time, and you do not have to come to us first.
