Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the supply of website and digital-systems services by Begin Group Ltd(“Begin”, “we”, “us”) to you (the “Client”). By subscribing to our services you agree to these terms.
1. About us
Begin Group Ltd, company number 15471440, registered in England & Wales at Fairstead, Borers Arms Road, Copthorne, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 3LJ. Email info@begin.co.uk, phone 01342 775530.
2. Our service
We design, build and maintain websites that work as sales tools, and set up digital systems such as bookings, follow-ups and review management. We work on an ongoing monthly subscription rather than a single one-off fee, because a website needs continuous work to keep performing, we keep your site current, hosted, secure and optimised for as long as you are subscribed.
3. The package, add-ons and pricing
Our service is provided as a single monthly package, our Growth Package, at £197 per month. It includes your website, hosting and security, and local search work covering 5 target locations. First month free, no setup fee, cancel any time. It appears on your invoice and at checkout as Begin Growth Package.
The package price includes everything needed to deliver it. There is no setup fee, no onboarding fee and no mandatory extra charge. The following add-ons are entirely optional, are never selected on your behalf, and can be added or dropped at any time with effect from your next billing date:
- 3 more target locations, £150 per month, available up to 3 times.
- Google Business Profile optimisation, £85 per month.
- International SEO, £65 per hour, minimum 5 hours per month.
- News engine, £49 per month.
- Review automation, £79 per month.
- Custom API elements, from £250 per month, scoped and quoted in writing before you commit.
Where an add-on is billed by the hour, or priced from a starting figure, we agree the scope and give you the figure in writing before the work starts. You are never billed for hours you have not approved.
All prices are in GBP and are exclusive of VAT. Where VAT applies it is added at the prevailing rate and shown separately on your invoice, along with our VAT registration number. We may review prices from time to time and will give you at least 30 days’ written notice before any change takes effect. If you do not want to continue at the new price, you may cancel under section 5 and the current price applies until your notice period ends.
4. Payment
The monthly fee is payable in advance by card (via Stripe) or bank transfer, on the same date each month. Any optional add-ons you have chosen are billed on the same date and on the same invoice as the package. Work billed by the hour is invoiced in arrears, after we have shown you the hours.
If a payment fails we will tell you and try again. If an invoice is still unpaid 14 days after its due date, we may pause work and suspend the site until the account is brought up to date, having given you at least 7 days’ written notice first. We will not suspend a site without warning you. Your content and data are not deleted during a suspension, and the site is restored once payment is received. We may charge interest and reasonable recovery costs on overdue invoices under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
5. Term, notice and cancellation
There is no long-term contract. The subscription runs month to month. You can cancel at any time by giving us 30 days’ notice, just contact us directly. We would rather keep you because the work is good than because you are locked in.
6. Website ownership and leaving us
While you are subscribed, your website lives on our platform and we look after it. If you decide to leave, you have two options:
- Buy the site from us if you want to take it with you. The buy-out fee is quoted in writing when you ask, and is calculated from the build work already delivered less what you have paid in subscription fees to date. Once it is paid we hand over the site files and transfer ownership of the build to you under section 7.
- Downgrade to a hosting-only plan, a lower monthly fee that covers hosting, security and uptime only, with no content updates, no support hours and no ongoing SEO work included.
The buy-out fee and the hosting-only fee are both set out in our current price list, which we will send you on request and before you commit to either. We will always quote you the figure in writing before you decide.
While you are subscribed, changes to your website are included, as often as you need them, at no extra charge. On the hosting-only option they are not: that fee covers hosting, security and uptime alone, and any work you ask for after that is quoted to you in writing and agreed before it starts.
7. Timelines
Our standard timeline is about six weeks from signing up to going live. This can move depending on how much back-and-forth there is and how many rounds of revisions you want. Ecommerce sites take roughly twice as long because there is more to build and test.
8. Your responsibilities
To deliver on time we need you to provide the content, assets and approvals we request in good time, and to ensure anything you supply (logos, images, text) does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
9. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the content and brand assets you provide to us, and of your own domain name, which stays registered to you throughout.
Subject to payment, you receive a non-exclusive licence to use the website we build for as long as you are subscribed. Ownership of the build transfers to you only on a buy-out, as described in section 6.
We keep ownership of the underlying tools we use to build and run sites: our templates, components, page framework and internal systems. These are not specific to you, they are used across our client sites, and a buy-out transfers your site, not those. Where any of it is needed for your site to keep working after a buy-out, you get a perpetual licence to keep using it for that site at no extra cost.
10. Liability
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. We do not guarantee specific search rankings or commercial results, as these depend on factors outside our control.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where the law does not allow it. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that, our total liability to you for all claims arising in any twelve month period is limited to the total fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, or loss of goodwill, in each case whether direct or indirect.
We are not liable for failures caused by things outside our reasonable control, including outages at our hosting, CRM or email providers, changes made by search engines, or content and instructions you supply to us.
11. Data protection
We handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.
Where we process personal data on your behalf as part of running your website, CRM or enquiry systems, you are the data controller and we are your processor. Our data processing agreement forms part of these terms and sets out what we process, why, for how long, and the security measures we apply. We will send you a copy on request, and we will not appoint a new sub-processor that handles your customers’ data without telling you first. The providers we currently use are listed in our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time and will give you reasonable notice of material changes. The “last updated” date above shows the current version.
