Websites for Tradesmen

We build websites for tradesmen and local trade firms: your credentials linked to the register, real photos of your own jobs, a price people can see, and pages for the towns you actually cover. It costs £197 a month, the first month is free and there is no setup fee.

Cornerstone Pest Control, Surrey and Sussex

Cornerstone Pest ControlPest control

A new website for a pest control firm working across Surrey and Sussex. Each of their fourteen services has its own page, there is a page for each of the twenty one towns they cover, from Redhill and Reigate to Crawley and Horsham, and their BPCA membership is on the site for customers to see.

One page exists because of something the owner told us: some customers do not want a branded van outside their home or business. So there is a page for discreet, unbranded visits, at no extra charge. That is the kind of detail only the business knows, and it is what makes a trade site worth reading.

On Heating

Rebrand & new website

Pierson Heating became On Heating, and the website had to carry the change without losing 25 years of reputation attached to the old name. Same owner, same Gas Safe team, a new site built around emergency call-outs, boiler replacement and their Home Care Plan.

Certa MPS

New website

Printers, copiers and print management for businesses, schools and councils, supplied and serviced by their own local engineers. We rebuilt the site around one page per product, the areas they cover and a free print audit, and moved 35 old addresses across so nothing they had earned in Google was lost.

The price

How much does a website for a trade business cost?

£197 a month for everything below, with the first month free, no setup fee and no long contract: thirty days’ notice is all it takes to leave. We publish it because being made to fill in a form to find out a price is the most tiring part of hiring anybody.

  • A website built around your trade, not a template with your logo dropped in
  • Your credentials shown with their numbers and register links
  • Local search work for five towns, chosen from what people actually search
  • Hosting, security, legal pages and the changes you ask for

Add-ons start at £49 a month and are only ever added when you ask for them.

What is different

What makes a trade website win the call?

Somebody choosing a tradesman is about to let a stranger into their home or onto their premises. Before they ring, they want three things answered quickly: can you do this job, are you properly qualified, and roughly what will it cost. A site that answers those in the first screen gets the call. One that opens with a slogan and a stock photo of a handshake does not.

Proof beats claims. A credential with a working link to the register, photos of your own jobs, and reviews in your customers’ own words are things a visitor can check, and they are also what AI assistants pick out when somebody asks one to recommend a local trade.

Where you put pages matters as much as what is on them. We measure how many people search for your trade in each town before building anything, so your pages sit where your customers are, not where a list of nearby villages says they might be.

Answer what, how qualified and how much in the first screen, and back each answer with something a customer can check.

Directories

Should I rely on directories instead?

Directories and lead sites can bring work, but you rent it. You pay per lead or per month, you sit on a page next to your competitors, and the listing disappears when you stop paying.

Your own website and your Google Business Profile are the two places you own. They are also where people go to check you out after finding you anywhere else, so even if the directories stay, a good site makes them work harder for you.

Before you get in touch

My trade is not listed. Is this page for me?

Yes. It is for any trade where somebody rings you to come and do a job: electricians, roofers, builders, landscapers, locksmiths, pest control and the rest. We give a trade its own page once we have finished work in it to show you, and the price is the same for everyone.

Which credentials should I show?

Whichever ones your trade requires or rewards, each with its number and a link to your entry on the public register: NICEIC or NAPIT for electrical work, Gas Safe for gas, OFTEC for oil, BPCA for pest control, TrustMark or a trade association where you hold one. We check each entry on the register ourselves before it goes on the page.

How many town pages will I get?

As many as people actually search for, and no more. The package includes local search work for five towns. We measure how many people search for your trade in each town first, because a page for a village nobody searches from is a page Google ignores.

Can I update the site myself?

Yes, through a simple editor, whenever you like. Or send us a message and we will make the change for you. Changes are included, so there is no hourly bill for adding a new service or a new photo.

What if I want to leave?

You can cancel any time with thirty days’ notice. You can buy the site from us and take it with you, or move to a lower monthly fee that just keeps it hosted. The details are on our website design page, so you can read them before you sign anything.
