Areas we cover

Web Design in Brighton

We build and look after websites for Brighton and Hove service businesses, including a heating firm in Hove whose site you can open below. One business per trade in each area, local search work included, and one published price: £197 a month with the first month free.

Work in Brighton and Hove

On Heating, from their office in Hove

On HeatingHeating and plumbing, Hove

On Heating work from Hove and take calls 24 hours a day, every day of the year. They used to trade as Pierson Heating, so their new site had to carry a new name without losing the reputation built under the old one, and it opens with the thing a customer with no hot water needs: a number to ring.

Their Brighton page talks about the city’s housing, from Victorian conversions with shared flues to tall period terraces, and lists recent jobs in Brighton from their Checkatrade record rather than swapping the town’s name into a template. Open it and judge it for yourself.

Rebrand & new website

Pierson Heating became On Heating, and the website had to carry the change without losing 25 years of reputation attached to the old name. Same owner, same Gas Safe team, a new site built around emergency call-outs, boiler replacement and their Home Care Plan.

Certa MPS

New website

Printers, copiers and print management for businesses, schools and councils, supplied and serviced by their own local engineers. We rebuilt the site around one page per product, the areas they cover and a free print audit, and moved 35 old addresses across so nothing they had earned in Google was lost.

Luca and his team built us a professional website and implemented a digitalised system that has improved our customers experiences. Luca has been really hands on and has taken time to train up the team, which is very much appreciated. We have seen real improvements in customer engagement and reviews. We are excited to continue on this journey with them and we would highly recommend their services.

I honestly can’t recommend Luca at Begin highly enough. Luca designed, set up and launched my new website from start to finish, and the results have been fantastic. Within just six weeks of the website going live, I’ve already had numerous enquiries come through that have directly led to new work. I’m not quite sure what magic Luca has worked behind the scenes, but whatever he’s done, it’s working! The website looks brilliant, represents the business perfectly, and most importantly, it’s actually generating genuine leads and bringing in business. Luca has been professional, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. If you’re looking for someone to build a website that doesn’t just look good but actually works for your business, I would 100% recommend Luca and the team at Begin. Absolutely first class — five stars from me.

Luca was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the entire website process. From the initial planning stages to the final launch, he made everything clear and stress-free. What really stood out was the development plan he created for the future of our site, which shows how invested he is in long-term success. Highly recommended.

What it costs

How much is a website for a Brighton business?

The same £197 a month a business in Crawley or Guildford pays. Nothing for the first month, nothing to start, and no contract: thirty days’ notice and you can go.

  • A site designed around how your Brighton customers find and contact you
  • Fast, secure hosting, kept up to date for you
  • Search work for Brighton and four more towns, Hove among them if your trade is searched there
  • Privacy and cookie pages, a consent banner that works, and an ICO check before launch

Extras such as regular news articles or automatic review requests are priced separately, from £49 a month, and only if you want them.

On the ground

How do people in Brighton and Hove search for a local business?

Brighton and Hove has been one city since 2000, but people do not search for it as one. When we measured it, “plumber brighton” was searched about 1,300 times a month and “plumber hove” about 210. A trade firm working both sides of the Drive needs a page for each, or it is invisible to everybody who types Hove.

The neighbourhoods are a different story. Kemptown, Hanover and the Lanes are how people describe where they live, not what they type: “plumber kemptown” came out at about 10 searches a month. They belong on the Brighton page, named, rather than on pages of their own.

Along the coast the pattern repeats town by town. Shoreham is searched as its own place, Portslade barely is, and the right answer is different for every trade. So we measure yours before we build, rather than guessing from a map.

A Brighton page, a Hove page if your trade is searched there, and the neighbourhoods named on the page instead of given thin pages of their own.

Before you get in touch

Are you based in Brighton?

No, and we would rather say so. We are in Copthorne, at the top of the A23, so Brighton and Hove is a straight run down the road and we are happy to meet you there. Most of the work happens by phone, email and video anyway, and a client in Hove has had a site from us since the summer.

Do I need separate pages for Brighton and Hove?

For most trades, yes. When we measured it, people searched for a plumber in Hove about 210 times a month, as well as 1,300 times for Brighton, so Hove earns a page of its own. Kemptown, Hanover and the other neighbourhoods did not, so they belong on the Brighton page rather than on thin pages of their own.

What about Shoreham, Portslade and Lewes?

They are checked for your trade before anything is built. Shoreham came out at about 140 searches a month for a plumber and Portslade at about 30, so Shoreham may earn a page and Portslade usually will not. The package includes local search work for five towns, and we pick the five that will bring you the most work.

What does it cost?

One price for everybody: £197 a month, with nothing to pay for the first month and no fee to get started. For that you get the site itself, somewhere safe to run it, every edit you ask for, and search work aimed at Brighton plus four other towns. Extras exist, but you only pay for one if you ask for it.
