Areas we cover
Web Design in Sussex
We build and look after websites for service businesses across Sussex, from an office in Copthorne just outside Crawley. One business per trade in each area, one monthly price we publish rather than quote, and the local search work included rather than sold back to you later.
A client working across Sussex
Cornerstone Pest Control, Surrey and Sussex
Cornerstone Pest ControlPest control
A brand new site for a pest control company working across Sussex and Surrey, covering the same towns as this page: Crawley, Horsham, East Grinstead, Haywards Heath and the villages between them. Forty five pages, a clean structure so each service and each area has somewhere real to land, and photography of their own technicians on their own jobs rather than bought stock of somebody else’s.
It is recent, so we are not going to show you a graph. Open it and judge the thing itself, which is the only part we can honestly claim credit for yet.

Cornerstone Pest Control
New website
A brand-new, professionally designed website that the client is genuinely happy with, clean structure, clear services, and a look that builds trust the moment someone lands. It’s freshly launched, so we’ll let the performance numbers do the talking in time.
Heating engineers · Hove
On Heating
Rebrand & new website
Pierson Heating became On Heating, and the website had to carry the change without losing 25 years of reputation attached to the old name. Same owner, same Gas Safe team, a new site built around emergency call-outs, boiler replacement and their Home Care Plan.
Managed print · Burgess Hill
Certa MPS
New website
Printers, copiers and print management for businesses, schools and councils, supplied and serviced by their own local engineers. We rebuilt the site around one page per product, the areas they cover and a free print audit, and moved 35 old addresses across so nothing they had earned in Google was lost.

Vinula
New website
A new professional website built to reinforce a polished, trustworthy brand. Exactly the kind of foundation that makes everything else, search, referrals, first impressions, work harder.
Garage · Cuckfield
Barkers Garage
Website & review automation
Barkers had the work ethic and the happy customers, they just weren’t showing up online. We built them a professional new website and put our review automation to work asking for a review at the right moment, every time.
Traditional sweet shop · East Grinstead
Chocabox
Website & brand collateral
A brand-new professional website to show off their traditional sweet selection, plus new business cards and loyalty stamps to tie the whole brand together, online and in the shop.

Every one of these is a Google review left by somebody we have actually worked for, reproduced word for word rather than tidied up. None of them were written by us.

I honestly can’t recommend Luca at Begin highly enough. Luca designed, set up and launched my new website from start to finish, and the results have been fantastic. Within just six weeks of the website going live, I’ve already had numerous enquiries come through that have directly led to new work. I’m not quite sure what magic Luca has worked behind the scenes, but whatever he’s done, it’s working! The website looks brilliant, represents the business perfectly, and most importantly, it’s actually generating genuine leads and bringing in business. Luca has been professional, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. If you’re looking for someone to build a website that doesn’t just look good but actually works for your business, I would 100% recommend Luca and the team at Begin. Absolutely first class — five stars from me.

Luca's knowledge is second to none. The advice and support offered was exactly what we needed - the results were far greater than we expected - highly recommend.
Luca and his team built us a professional website and implemented a digitalised system that has improved our customers experiences. Luca has been really hands on and has taken time to train up the team, which is very much appreciated. We have seen real improvements in customer engagement and reviews. We are excited to continue on this journey with them and we would highly recommend their services.
I had a new website built for my private counselling practice. Luca was excellent - attentive, great communication and listened to what I wanted as well as giving me helpful marketing tips. He keeps in regular contact about the website and replies to texts super quick!! Highly recommend
Wow, really blown away by Luca. Since he has built my new website , I'm showing up at the top of Google for my services. Even the enquires have risen dramatically too . He has definitely exceeded my expectations and been supportive when needed.
Luca was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the entire website process. From the initial planning stages to the final launch, he made everything clear and stress-free. What really stood out was the development plan he created for the future of our site, which shows how invested he is in long-term success. Highly recommended.

What it costs
One price, published, and the first month is free
Most agencies in this county will not tell you a price until you have filled in a form and sat through a call. Ours is £197 a month. The first month is free, there is no setup fee, and you can cancel any time.
- The website itself, designed and built rather than assembled from a template
- Hosting, security and the updates nobody remembers to do
- Local search work for five target towns
- The changes you ask for, without being billed per email
Anything beyond that is optional and starts at £49 a month. Nothing is added unless you choose it.

Sussex is two counties, and people search for it as one
Administratively there is a West Sussex and an East Sussex and no such council as Sussex. Nobody searching for a website designer knows or cares. Roughly three times as many people look for one in “Sussex” as in “West Sussex”, which is the sort of thing that decides whether a page gets found and is invisible unless you go and measure it.
The county splits in a way that matters more than the boundary does. The north, around Crawley, Horsham and East Grinstead, is commuter country pointed at Gatwick and the M23, where a customer will cross three towns without thinking about it and searches tend to be for the trade rather than the town. Down on the coast the towns behave like separate places and people really do choose by name. A page built for one half and pointed at the other is the most common way local search work here quietly fails.
Which town leads on your site should be decided by where your customers actually come from, not by where your postcode is.

Everything within about twenty five miles of the office, west and east. Beyond these we also cover the rest of the county, out through Brighton and Hove, Worthing, Lewes and Eastbourne, and we have not listed every village because a page naming everywhere is not telling you anything.

The honest bit
What we will not do
We will not build you forty pages with the town name swapped and call it local search work. Google has a name for that and it removes sites for it, and it is why we build a page only when there is something true to say about the place.
We will not put review stars on your own website. Google has ignored them since 2019 and under the DMCC Act misleading review information is a banned practice, whatever the competitor doing it in the same results is getting away with today.
We will not install an accessibility overlay. They are sold as a one line fix, the biggest vendor is under an FTC order, and the sites carrying them are the ones getting sued.
Before you get in touch
Are you actually in Sussex, or do you just cover it?
We are in Copthorne, which is a village just outside Crawley in West Sussex, and most of the towns on this page are within half an hour of the desk. It matters less than people think for the building and more than people think for the search work: knowing which towns people search by name, and which ones a customer will happily drive between, is most of what makes a local page work.
My town is not on the list. Does that mean no?
No. The list is the places closest to us, not the edge of where we work. The rest of Sussex is comfortably in range, the work is delivered remotely so the practical reach is the whole country, and what changes with distance is how much our local knowledge is worth to you rather than whether we can do the job.
Is it really one price, and is that price really published?
It is £197 a month, the first month is free and there is no setup fee. That covers the website, the hosting and security, and local search work for five target locations. Anything past that is an optional add-on starting at £49 a month and nothing is ever added to your bill unless you choose it. We publish it because being asked to fill in a form to find out a price is the most tiring part of hiring anyone.
How long before it actually does anything?
The site itself is usually live in about six weeks. Search results take months rather than weeks, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling something. We cannot promise a specific position and nobody honest can. What we will do is tell you what moved and what did not, in plain figures, rather than sending a report designed to look busy.
What if a competitor of mine is already with you?
Then we tell you on the first call and we do not take you on. We work with one business per trade in each area, so once a plumber has a patch we turn down every other plumber in it. It cuts both ways: it is why we might have to say no to you, and it is why nobody can hire us to come after you once you are in.
Find out where your Sussex site actually stands
Put your website in and we will tell you what is working, what is not, and what it would take to fix it. It takes about a minute, it is free, and there is nobody to talk to unless you want there to be.
